Here's a prediction for Tuesday's boys water polo playoffs - please note that this match reflects a change to the Division II draw
Division II first round
Norco (19-8) at Tustin (16-12), 3:15 p.m.
Outlook: The Tillers and first-year coach George Chen overcame the loss of arguably their best player - Cesar Altamirano - to place third in the competitive Century League. The senior defender was injured in a car accident but the Tillers still have a potent scoring trio in seniors Dane Nielsen (69 goals), Jordan Blair (68 goals) and Sergio Arvizu (55 goals). Tustin was originally scheduled to take on J.W. North but now takes on a tougher Norco. North was fifth in the eight-team Big VIII while Norco took fourth.
Albano's prediction: The switch of opponents makes sense. Norco was originally getting a tougher draw with El Modena than North with Tustin. Still, the switch isn't good news for the Tillers. Norco is solid and hung tough at the early-season Weisz Memorial Cup. It's another hurdle for the Tillers but they win a very close game.
Dan,
Looks like CIF has changed the game. J.W. North is now playing El Modena at El Modena and Norco is going to play Tustin at Tustin.
thanks for the heads up! I've adjusted previews - good luck
