Water polo prediction: Beckman-Huntington Beach

boys_wpolo_iconHere's a prediction for Tuesday's boys water polo playoffs:

Division I wild card

Beckman (14-13) at Huntington Beach (21-6), 4 p.m.

Outlook: The host Oilers have some excellent young talent and appear to be an up-and-coming program under first-year coach Brian Anderson. They're fast in transition and definitely tough when their outside shots are finding the back of the cage. Sophomore John Lovat has a live arm. The Oilers challenged for top-10 status in the county this season but were highly-ranked the Albano Top 25 Index. They took third in the Sea View. Goalie Michael Bailey can certainly be a difference maker. Beckman, an at-large team from the PCL, has made the playoffs for the first time. Beckman is led by former HB coach Peter Muller.  Beckman has a dangerous center in the 6-foot-5 Kevin Zepfel.

Albano's prediction: Huntington Beach moves on to face Newport Harbor
