Games to Watch for Week 10
Garden Grove (9-0, 4-0) vs. Santiago (8-1, 4-0)
Friday, 7 p.m. at Garden Grove High
Outlook: Two of the top five teams in the CIF Southern Division square off with the Garden Grove League title at stake.
The Argonauts, ranked No. 1 in the Southern Division, has been dominating their opponents since league play started. In their first four games, Garden Grove has outscored its opponents by a combined score of 211-20.
Quarterback Sean Young has been the key to the offense. He leads the team with 837 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns and he has completed 64 of 112 passes (57.1 percent) for 1,122 and 10 touchdowns.
Can Santiago slow him down and end Garden Grove’s nine game winning streak?
Since losing to Santa Ana Valley (Oct. 2), the Cavaliers, ranked fifth in the latest CIF polls, have won five consecutive games.
Santiago won the outright league title in 2007 and shared it with Garden Grove and Los Amigos last year.
There will be no sharing this year.
So, will it be Garden Grove or Santiago?

This will be great game. Two great teams from the GGL this will be a battle. And yes Santiago will stop them with their great defense he was one of the great running backs from last year and he could nott pass Santiagos defense maybe this year we’ll see what happens friday. Cavaliers&Argonauts good luck!
This is going to be a great game… Santiago needs to control the tempo and force Grove to grind out the yards if they want to win. Grove needs to continue making big plays if they want to win. Great rivalry = great game… we will see Who Run’s This (GG) Town…. can u dig it?
