Who would have thought at the beginning of the football season that Dana Hills would be viewed as a solid, top-four team in Orange County heading into the final week of the regular season?
If you did, lets go buy some lottery tickets. The Dolphins are indeed keeping their place this week (in my book) as contenders such as Fountain Valley and Orange Lutheran look to bounce back from tough losses in Week 9.
Up next for Dana Hills is Mission Viejo, and I believe the Dolphins will play the Diablos very tough. I’m not ready to give a prediction but here’s how I voted in this week’s county poll:
1. Edison
2. Servite
3. Mission Viejo
4. Dana Hills
5. Fountain Valley
6. Los Al – Up one spot with dramatic victory against Esperanza
7. La Habra – Highlanders jumps OLu
8. Orange Lutheran
9. Mater Dei
10. Tustin
11-09-09: This weeks’ OC top 10 and Fryer’s teams 11-25
Football: Eichelberger’s Top 10 vote
Football: Calhoun’s top 10 vote
Football: Tobolski’s top 10 vote
Not you too Dan!!!!!! Please somebody with voting power teams with 4 losses and that will finish season with 5 arent deserving of the top ten in this talent laden region of OC……..too many other undefeated or 1 loss teams who get no recognition nor respect………………I mean if MD Or OLU lose 6 are they still deserving of your vote!? What will it take for a week 9 complete team to get in over a 4 losss club i mean really!!!!!!!!!
The CIF playoffs will be very embarrasing to the top 10 prognosticators, because it will be then that Mission Viejo either beats Edison or advances further than Edison does in the playoffs. Edison does not have the talent, team speed (both sides of the ball), discipline, flawless execution or aggressive team play that Mission Viejo has. After watching both teams play, it is obvious that Mission Viejo is by far the better team. So either the top 10 voters have not seen Mission Viejo play or they are obviously biased in their selection, no matter, they will be embarrased in the CIF playoffs, because as the saying goes, action speaks and BS walks. So Albano, Fryer and Calhoun get ready to start walking.
I couldnt agree more, Mission is by far the best team in the county. What they did to a solid San Clemente(that lost by 1 point to this garbage La Habra team that the OC REG loves so much) team last week was a joke. It looked like a college team playing a highschool. I watched Edison play Dana Hills and was not impressed. Dana had the lead at half and easily could of won. I also saw what Dana did to Newport Harbor. Sunset is slightly overrated this year. I still think Dana Hills has no chance at beating Mission! I hope im wrong.
As far as trinity league teams being ranked, why not? They would destroy any one loss team. Orange Luthren Vs Tustin??? La Habra people just be happy your garbage team that cant beat any real pac-5 teams is even ranked somehow. Why are they ranked? Because Fryer likes to watch games there, likes the crowd?
