dana got an unbelievable draw. i would rather play lakewood and than tustin, than have a bye and play servite in the 2nd round like san clemente! i agree how does a 2nd place team like la canada get a bye when they are 9-19 on the year overall????? jserra vs. mater dei final, it should be a good one. corona santiago is good team and i think they will beat villa park. their lefty is a stud!

From what I can tell the seeding looks pretty spot on with CIF rankings. Mater Dei will have a cake walk to the finals. The three (Wilson) and four seeds (Corona) will have fairly tough quarter final games and I bet VP beats Corona. I heard Wilson has an injured player that may have a negative impact on their chances but I’m not sure. I do not see any upsets other than the VP/Corona game, which would not really be an upset. I see the JSerra/Wilson game as being the best match in the tourny. Mater Dei should handle either one of them.

I believe they need to be .500 or better to qualify for an at-large berth.

Why did La Canada get a first round bye? (La Canada #2 Rio Hondo and not ranked in top 10). Also interesting that Dana Hills plays an at large team in the first round and possibly a 2nd at large team in the 2nd round. (Tustin’s top player is injured and out for the season). Then a likely match up with Mater Dei (ouch!!). What is the seeding for the all the teams? How closely does it match the CIF top 10 rankings?

If the Trinity is`ranked 1 why did all the other leaguges get 4 teams in the playoffs and SMHS did not get in?
