Here are my three defensive stars of the week.
Here you go …
1. Edison Chargers - Edison held Fountain Valley to eight first downs and 107 total yards. The defense recorded four sacks and intercepted one pass in a 24-0 victory over Fountain Valley. Kyle Middlebrooks was held to 83 yards and quarterback Dominic Ragland gained just 34 yards.
2. Jake Marshall, Mission Viejo, DB – Marshall intercepted two passes, returning one for a touchdown in a 55-7 victory over San Clemente.
3. Josh Talbot, Villa Park DB – Talbot came up with a huge interception against Canyon Thursday night that ended a potential touchdown scoring drive and put the Spartans in perfect shape to qualify for the playoffs.
