It’s difficult to appreciate even the consideration of any team being #1 seed based on point spreads. Think about how that would encourage coaches to
runs scores up in the future. Think about how running up scores would impact opponents (victims of the run up). What about the opportunities for 2nd, 3rd or even 4th string players to get in games? The game is about the kids and the more that can be included without compromising competitive
intensity, the better.

The 1st and 2nd place team from a league have to be placed on opposite sides of the bracket and can’t play each other until the finals.

The 1st and 3rd place teams or 2nd and 3rd place teams from a league can be in the same bracket but teams from the same league cannot play until the semis.

do you know the rules for how they set up the brackets such as 1 and 3′s in league being in the same side and so forth?

If they do indeed get that berth…look out! These guys are playoff tested and will be even more by then, if they win out in the Serra. I doubt a one and out scenerio.
