No. 1 Edison (8-0, 3-0) vs. No. 4 Fountain Valley (8-0, 3-0)

Outlook: Tickets went on sale last week and were sold out in a few hours. Then the game was moved from Orange Coast College to a larger location (Titan Stadium) and tickets went back on sale to fill 10,000-seat stadium.
Both teams are undefeated and the outright lead in the Sunset League race is on the line.
Is there any way that this game will live up to the hype?
Edison is coming off of a 27-10 victory over Los Alamitos in a game that saw the Edison offense fail to score any touchdowns.
Can that happen again? I wouldn’t think so.
The Chargers gained just 123 total yards (62 rushing, 61 passing). You can expect Matt Viles and company to come out with all guns firing.
Defensively, it would be smart of the Barons kept on eye on Jordan Zumwalt. Zumwalt was in on 24 tackles and forced a fumble in last week’s victory over Los Alamitos.
Fountain Valley defeated Newport Harbor, 37-32 last week. Quarterback Dominic Ragland (passed for 102 yards and rushed for 108) and Kyle Middlebrooks rushed for 139 yards.
Can this duo lead the way to the victory?
Edison leads the series 25-14-1 and has recorded four consecutive victories.

Edison has alot of weapons but it’s their defense that will make them champions. However, Los Al exposed some glaring issues with their offense, and somehow shut them down. Pretty amazing feat actually.
I think if FV plays there best game this year they can beat Edison. Ball control and turnovers will be the key to this game. I’ll pick an upset

What about that #24 Malone from Edison. Leading tackler for them. Sack and fumble return for TD against Los Al. In on 22 tackles. Roams the field.
WOW……. this is gonna be a rankings changer for sure and cant wait for 2 legit teams to go at it.i just think Edision is overdue to break out of the mild slump they are in.i know i know they are #1 and undefeated but really havent put it all together in the last couple games……..Every team is gunnin for them and this FV team will be blazing to get a shot at them and have looked forward to this as both teams do every year…..i expect for Edision to be clicking on all cylinders and rout FV…..35-14
i think that FV will beat edison but it will be a close game zumwalt is very good but the barons offense cant be stopped with #6 and #7 #3

The Edison-Fountain Valley rivalry has to be just as intense, or nearly as intense as the Mater Dei-Servite rivalry. Santa Ana-Saddleback is another big intense one, but it never gets a lot of media attention, almost none.
Don’t forget to bring $8 bucks for parking………..
