how is laguna hills 3rd when Garden Grove is 1st when GG is not even ranked in oc?

    • The Guild says:

Just relax "lh annie" and let the Argo's bask in their well deserved status, sentimental though it may be. The season is still going and the dust ain't settled.

hey dude no matter what costa mesa is going as a #2 or #1 seed, they won all third game and have one more to go for the league championship but i like the rest. it should be like that.

  • 35 says:

  • argomom says:

    Go ARGOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Game_film_guy says:

If Estancia beats Laguna this week, and Laguna beats Mesa in two weeks, its a 3 way tie for 1st place in league, a coin toss will decide seeds at that point, am I wrong?

  • Argo_alum says:

The Argos have a long history of going one-and-done in CIF, it seems that this will be the year GGHS will get away from that.

  • Tapia says:

btw GG was ranked 25 in oc!!! but Irvine replaced them...i find that stupid cuz they havent lost so i dont see why move them down...

    • gijoe78 says:

..because Fryer knows that GG plays a cupcake preseason, despite the tragedy (my condolences). He puts teams with worst records but are very good teams. Question for YOU? Santa Margarita is in the TRINITY league and have a 3-5 record. Would GG beat them? GG always play teams that combine for 15-23 and have no shot in making it far in the playoffs. That results in the pounding of GG in the playoffs by the likes of Laguna Hills, Mayfair, Irvine and Norwalk. Heck, even San Juan Hills would blow them out. Well see what happens in the playoffs. Go Chargers!!

  • SF49gal says:

good luck to all the teams....play safe!!

  • the j man says:

irvine is just as good, if not better than Laguna hills this year yet they are 6th?

    • Glen Chervin says:

      J man,
Irvine just gave up 34 points to San Juan Hills. They are not as good as Laguna Hills. Time will tell.

      • Papa Z says:

A lotta teams gave up 34 to San Juan Hills.

        • Glen Chervin says:

You are absolutely right. Godinez, Segerstrom and Huntington Beach.
Trust me on this one Papa, put your money on the Hawks.

        • Papa Z says:

I don't doubt you on this one. I was just sayin that SJH offense is pretty good when their dudes are healthy. The defense is mighty suspect though.

    • lhanniversary says:

the only reason why irvine is good is cuz they have young. but laguna hills D can stop him. so if you take young it will be a win the hawks hands down

  • Dave says:

The brackets drawn up in this thread aren't valid. 3's can't play in the first round. There are five leagues in the Southern so you have to have the first round matchups like this:

1- Suburban 4 (no wild card in the division)
    1-3
    1-3
    1-3
    1-3
    2-3
    2-2
    2-2

You guys can sort it out from there, LOL.

  • BiG $ says:

garden grove aint gunna pass the first round playoffs! true fact!

  • irvine coach says:

you cant stop d young. 374 yards last game and the kid only is going to get better. the hawks better be prepared, but it will be the Pacific Coast League game of the year. go vaqueros!

  • ENCORE says:

    Go LHHS Back-2-Back!

  • PMaK says:

I like this a little better
    Overall Seeding:
    1. Garden Grove (GGL)
    2. La Mirada (BURB)
    3. Loser of Laguna Hills/Irvine (PCL)
    4. Norwalk (BURB)

    Upper Brakcet

    #1(overall) Garden Grove
    BURB#4 Bellflower

    OCL#3 Estancia
    GGL#2 Santiago

PCL#2 Loser of Irvine/Laguna Hills game
    GWL#3 Santa Ana

    #4(overall) Norwalk
OCL #2 Loser of Laguna Beach/Costa Mesa

    Lower Bracket:

#3(overall) Winner of the Irvine/Laguna Hills game

    #2(overall) La Mirada
    GWL #3 Santa Ana

  • lhanniversary says:

375 yards against a team that is a first year varsity team. mad props!!! Laguna hills will shut him down like cypress did!!! Awwwww yeah

  • Papa Z says:

Enjoy D young at Irvine while you can. My guess is he'll be wearing red and white and doing hut drills next year.

  • Dana A says:

What do you experts have to say now, that Segerstrom is undefeated in League, and will win at least a co-championship. If they beat SA next week it will be a true cindrella story. This new schools stock is rising quickly with not only sports but they have some of the highest test scores in the county! Go Jags!!!!!!!

    • PMaK says:

too bad those test scores won't help in the first round of playoffs..you guys better hope for and ocl or ggl opponent or else its buh bye jags!!

  • yessum says:

does anyone know when the games for the playoffs start? Do they start the week after this week?
