Here today; Gone today: That pretty much sums up what happened when tickets were put on sale for the Edison-Fountain Valley game at Orange Coast College. The demand was so great, that the game has been moved to CS Fullerton. Congrats to you Edison and Fountain Valley fan. I will not be there for the game (Carlos Arias somehow snagged this assignments three weeks ago, which I thought was against the code, but whatever), so if you know of anyone with an extra ticket ….

Football or basketball: Mission Viejo is scoring points as if this is basketball season. The Diablos dropped 60 on Tesoro and then followed that up with 70 on Aliso Niguel. If they get 80 … sodas for everyone (courtesy of Steve Fryer).

Here’s my halftime adjustment; deal with it: That’s pretty much what the Orange Lutheran coaching staff told St. John Bosco Friday night. The Lancers entered halftime trailing 14-3, with an offense that couldn’t get on track. Then, the second half arrived and the Lancers unleashed the speedy Damani Wilson and the power running of Chance Baker. Orange Lutheran attempted only three passes in the second half. Now, that’s a halftime adjustment.

That’s No. 6 Orange Lutheran to you: For all of you who complained, asking why was Orange Lutheran ranked when it started the season 1-3, what do you have say for yourself now.

More Orange Lutheran: If you ever have a chance to listen to the postgame talk that Lancer coach Jim Kunau gives his team, then you have to take advantage of it.

Playoffs are underway for Mater Dei: The Monarchs defeated JSerra Friday night and will face Santa Margarita next week and St. John Bosco in Week 10. Will they get there?
