The top games on the Week 8 schedule:
No. 6 Orange Lutheran (4-3, 2-0) vs. St. John Bosco (4-3, 1-1)
Friday, 7:30 p.m. at St. John Bosco High
Outlook: The Lancers started the season 1-3 and have been without their starting quarterback, Bobby Wheatley, for several weeks. However, Mike Markovsky has stepped in and engineered a three-game winning streak.
Markovsky, a dual-threat quarterback has rushed for 236 yards and five touchdowns and has passed for 547 yards and five touchdowns.
The Lancers rushed for 306 yards last week against JSerra. Running back Damani Wilson leads the Lancers with 650 rushing yards.
The Braves opened Trinity League with a 37-19 loss to Servite. They rebounded with a 35-14 victory over Santa Margarita last week.
Running back Austin Mahr rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns last week. He has rushed for 829 yards so far this season.
Will the Lancers defense be able to slow him?
Will Orange Lutheran be undefeated in league heading into next week’s showdown with Servite?
