Releaguing: The Orange County leagues

Many Orange County leagues will have new looks for a four-year cycle that begins with the fall sports in 2010 and ends with the spring sports in 2014.
Take a look at the changes in each of the leagues, then use the comments fields to let us know what you think.
Will the changes shake up the competitive balance in some of the key leagues? What do you think of moves such as Esperanza going into the Century League or the creation of the South Coast Conference?

Please tell me that the 7 team leagues (Empire and Century) have 4 guarantee playoff spots.
Another thing. The leagues are staying put in their current divisions, right ? I assume that's the case but I want to hear from the more informed crowd, like you guys. I mean, the Century league isn't going to the Pac 5 just because it added Espy, right ?
all the comments on this are only focused on football, i see some great matchups for basketball in all the leagues and feel that it has worked out very well for that sport.
I was really hoping that Brea would be allowed to join the Freeway league. As it is, it remains a 6 team league. I'd like to see all leagues have at least 8 schools, especially for sports like swimming and track that are scored 10,8,6,4,2,1 at the finals. Even then, only the league champion is guarenteed moving on with the 2nd and 3rd finisher required to meet a minimum mark. The idea that the 3rd place team in a 6 team league or the 4th place team in an 8 team league moving on to CIF competition is absurd. Post season athletics should reward excellence not mediocrity. Interscholastic athletics post season is about competition not participation. Its not kiddy soccer, where no score is kept and everyone gets a trophy.
Finally, RSM grudge matches. Tesoro & Mission vs Trabuco Hills. That was the best part about HS football, was playing against your neighborhood friends. And we will see if the hipe @ Laguna Hills is true.
