One big rivalry that has been one-sided since, oh, 1988 will get a lot of attention this week, and deservedly so.
But there’s a lot more to watch for in Week 7 than just Mater Dei-Servite.
There are important games in league races and playoff chases all over Orange County.
Take a look at your Frankly Fryer pal’s breakdown of the best matchups for the week, and then check out the OCVarsity Football Challenge for the picks from all of this week’s games.

fontain valley barons, not much else to say!!!!!!!
Still yet to play anyone. Nov 6th the bell stays on Magnolia and Hamilton.
C’mon Steve, what do you think you have, your own Highschool BCS ratings for our local teams? Your OC Top 10 stinks. You’ve got 7-1 teams rated way down the list, several spots behind teams with 6-2, 5-3 and 4-4 records. I don’t care what you and other media guesstimators think of “who they play”. Being 7 & 1 means to a teenage football player that they have only lost one game. You and your fraternity of writers should take into account the toll that takes on a Coach and Players that work their butts off to stay in that winning position and then read in your column that they’re #14 or 23rd. I’d hide the Sports Section if I was one of those Coaches or Parents.
