Outlook: Just when you might have been ready to write off the Hawks, they responded last week with a 21-13 victory over Canyon.
The Hawks had an inconsistent start to the season, going 1-2 in the first three and being shut out twice. However, they appear to be rounding into form as they head into Pacific Coast League play.
Except for the Newport Harbor game, the Sea Kings have had a flawless start. They defeated Magnolia, 27-0, last week.
J.D. Abbott has carried the ground duties for CdM, rushing for 641 yards and six touchdowns.
Last season, Laguna Hills opened league with a 34-7 victory over Corona del Mar and went on to claim the league title.
Are the Sea Kings ready to dethrone the Hawks?

this should be a good game but i think laguna is going to surprise CDM for sure and take it!! Go HAWKS
Surprise CDM? The Hawks are the defending league and CIF champs.
In high school sports the term “defending” means nothing thanks to a little thing called “graduation”. If Laguna Hills wins it will indeed be a surprise. CDM by two touchdowns.
Hawks way too incosistent for my taste great then terrible, so im picking thenm to be terrible this week sea Kings easy 35- 17
surprise, surprise…..
