La Habra remains at No. 2 in the Southwest Division rankings despite its victory over San Clemente last week.
Villa Park, last week’s No. 4, is down to ninth. El Dorado is down two spots. El Toro is another big mover, going up three sports.

The rest of the CIF-SS rankings for 10-12-09:
Highlanders should be No. 1 this week
Highlanders should be No. 1 this week for sure!!!!!!!!!
They beat a top 10 team, Tustin didn’t!
Cypress should be No. 4, not Fullerton….
Here’s my Top 10
La Habra
Tustin
Trabuco Hills
Cypress (no question a top 4 team)
El Toro
El Dorado
Villa Park
Fullerton( El Do already beat Fullerton)
Kennedy
Canyon
Troy will get their shot a Fullerton this week.. that will tell us alot about Fullerton and Troy (both beat Brea about the same)
I agree with Albano. La Habra should be no. 1, Tustin did not beat a good PAC-5 team.
La Habra showed their strength when they came back from a hard defeat (Los Al game) and beat a team in the final seconds of a tough game against a very good Division I team. Before the San Clemente game, they had played 3 of their first four games on the road. They have the grit (and the record of playing against Wilkerson and team) that they are should be the # 1 team until Tustin can prove they can beat the Highlanders. Did the CIF commitee pay attention to how the team and coaching staff shut down Wilkerson and company last year at the Angel Statium in the finals. The score of that game was not an indicator of how dominate the Highlanders were over Tustin.
alright Cypress!! keep showin’ everyone what LINE SIX FOOTBALL is all about. slow and steady climbin’ up those rankings!!
LINE SIX FOR LIFE!!
Line Six boys…Line Six.
What is Line Six?
It’s the sixth line of a poem we have for football at cypress. the sixth line reads “a team and a family” and its the motto we live by at cypress basically haha. hope that helped.
Yeah it does help thanks, because whenever I played against them I always wondered why their pride stickers say line six
the writers must be smoking crack… tustin is a one man show. lahabra is actually a team…!!!lthe clan is the true number one and will show it when they win their third cif title in a row
I agree that la habra should be num 1 in this div, untill proven otherwise on the field by tustin. but if you think about it, and this is the final standings at end of reg season it works out in clans favor. nt only does it play into our phylosiphy of getting tougher and better week after week,it will also be amotivating factor when we meet in the finals again. remember last year tustin finished with the top seed and easier road, and look at final result.another thought on pac 5 matchups to consider. tustin 0-1 clan 1-1. tustin lost to a struggling olu without wilk and lost big. maybe they figured they were going to lose antway so why play him.at least they have an excuse. juice beat up for los al and toughed out 100 yds and was abeast against tritons.says it all!!!
It’s nice being#1 but La Habra should be #1. They beat San Clemente. My only guess as to why the move wasn’t made. Is because Tustin had a bye week. Why take any votes away from a team on a bye week they voted for #1 the week before ?
As for the rest ….
- I’d replaced #3 Trabuco with Cypress. Put Trabuco at #4 & Fullerton at #5, even though ElDo already beat them.
- The placement of the Century league teams Tustin, El Do, Vp and Canyon in that order, is pretty much how it will finish out.
- I wonder who the coaches are that are voting us at #1 ?
I think after this week, El Toro goes to #4 instead of Trabuco. And to think, Katella and Savanna were both ranked ahead of them early on.
Fullerton seems over-rated.
We’ll get a good look tomorrow to see how “real” Cypress is.
L a Habra 31 for sure and tustin #2 for sure seema everyone is in agreement other than that all those clubes coul drop or move up 1 with the exception of El Toro.2 losses dont care against who but that shoul not merit where they are ranke ………… abd to you Country yes the tillers got the best of the best in Wilk.but hte laack of any other attack will soon catch up with them and in a very competitive league im certain it will come back to haunt them and we will see them on the playoffs but as a 1 thru 4 seed …….well i think not they better get some twists in that O or they are doomed for defeat sooner than later………
Alright boys, keep climbin’ up those rankings. We’re all behind you the whole way. Cypress: no place like it.
Line Six for LIfe!!
What’s line four say?
There are 8 lines. You can hear it after any game, win or lose. And sometimes after practice, during pep rallies. It is famous in Cypress.
We are the Cypress Centurions,
together, united and strong,
ready to fight our battles,
striving to be number one.
We are the Cypress Centruions,
A TEAM AND A FAMILY,
we live and die together,
and champions we will always be.

TUSTIN GETS BETTER EVERY WEEK. BY SEASON END NO ONE WILL WANT TO PLAY TUSTIN U KNOW WHAT WE DO NO FAKEING CAN U STOP US …….. WELL SEE
ok i hear ya Monarc but let see how many passing yards they come up with this week.im telling ya it will come back and haunt ya. no air attack whatsoever is not gonna win a title either in league nor the whole deal!!
How many starters did LHHS lose this week? the Pac 5 teams seem to do some damage when in comes to injuries, Are any of the injured starters from the Los Al game returning soon,I hope before 2nd round of playoffs…..Any updates out there ? LHHS looked good and hung in there, This game taught them how to win and come from behind ,,A very valuable lesson to take into league and into the playoffs as well,
LH plays Buena Park this week. It will give their starters a chance to rest and recover. LH’s 2nd and 3rd string will handle BP no problem.
Just another Cypress Victory!!
44-17 over Valencia.
Keep rollin’ Centurions!!
