The top 10 remained the same in the Pac-5 Division rankings. (That’s what happens when six of the top 10 has a bye week.)
Next week, I expect changes. In fact, I demand changes.

The rest of the CIF-SS rankings for 10-12-09:
Crespi and Mater Dei, over JSerra and Dana Hills? Hmmm, we’ll see.
ALL DAY LONG!!!
I don’t know about Dana Hills but Crespi and Mater Dei would beat JSerra
I fully agree jeffrey!
very funny Damian, you demand changes!
Do you expect Edison or Los Al, or MD to lose? The rest of the games should be over by half time.
Only the MD/ OL game I think could cause a change in top 10. Edison and Los Al should have their starters out by 4th Qtr.
The top 10 will have Servite and MD next week, and MV will have a good game vs Tesoro, other then those games the top 10 will not be really challenged for 3 weeks.
1 Edison vs Esperanza
2 Mission Viejo vs Capo Valley
3 Servite vs St. John bosco
4 Notre Dame vs St. Francis
5 Lakewood vs Cabrillo
6 Los Alamitos vs Newport Harbor
7 Fountain Valley vs Marina
8 Bishop Amat vs St. Paul
9 Crespi vs Alemany
10 Mater Dei vs OL
I agree damian, changes shoul be coming especially in trinity and j serra. demographs are starting to reflect that image. with all the upper income families in co county and number of kids available to those schools, youd have to have your head in the sand to not see it coming. If im aparent in mission, aliso, irvine ect ect ,its an easier dicision to send my kid to serra, and not to mention what a beautiful sports complex, just take the southboun amtrack and look out window when you aproach san juan cap, amazing. and dont be fooled by a soft sched. didnt they play some empire and century teams in their 5-0 pre season, the same teams that line 6 plays. and centurions had monarchs beat till very end. so yeah j serra should be in also mentioned and rest of trinity beware.
Your post made me smile. There is no reason to disagree with you or point out other things that I have in other post. I congratulate you on finding an argument that you can sell to your team and give them hope and would keep their spirits high going into the next 4 games. (Smile – Servite game in 5th week you may not be able to use that argument then)
I will give you one more argument that you can sell your team on game day, Last year 10 out 0f 11 bowl games played before Jan 1 were won by the underdog. Something about being the underdog and telling someone they cant do something, then they go out and prove they can.
As I have said before, good luck, keep building your program, you have a good if not great head coach, and lastly, You do have the heart of a Lion.
Dana Hills would hang 70 on Jserra.
the question you should ask your self is would serra drop 52 on el mo. and you should ask your self did you catch a very overated newport that may struggle with marina.
You do realize that Edison lost to Esperanza last year and that’s why they didnt make the playoffs? Thats a tougher game then you think. And the FV vs Marina game theres JV teams that could beat Marina’s varsity.
Oh I know that Esperanza can give Edison a good game, and last year Edison had lost to Servite. Those facts dont really play into this years teams and games, but your point is noted.
I think that Esperanza is the wild card team in the Sunset league where they have the capability of jumping up and beating any of the top 3 teams, but have also shown this year that they have just as much a chance in getting blown out in those games. (3-35 loss to Santiago)
Finally, We will “get the truth” with the Sunset League games starting this week. Whoyaa !!!!!!!!
This edison team looks good. Everyone thought they’d be a passing team but they can beat you any way you want. Case in point Servite game. That was a huge statement. The mater dei game was a fluke. Ask USC about an emotional win and playing the next week.
Well “real”, isn’t that the scenario of the Servite vs Edison game? Servite put forth an unbelievable effort against their coach’s alma mater, Crespi and suffered against Edison. Then like a championship team they traveled to the IE to beat a highly ranked Chaparral team and without Nicholls. Let’s see what happens as the season plays out, my friend!
I’m a Servite Alum and believe Edison put it to us. I want a re-match in the playoffs. Should be a great game.
Servite in the Santa Ana Bowl against MD!!!!! This is where the game should be played – not on “stage”. It keeps the game real and leaves it on the field with the players – not all the hype. Only a few tickets though.
If you DON’T have tickets, catch the game on twitter/servitefootball. They update it frequently. Is it on TV?
