Slowly, but surely Esperanza senior Teeny Adams is beginning to round into form that has made her one of the state’s top runners.
Adams, working her way back into top form after recovering from a stress fracture in her foot that has bothered her throughout the summer and early fall, placed first at the Sunset League preview meet Wednesday afternoon at Central Park in Huntington Beach.
Adams (18:39) finished just ahead of teammates Jessica Chang (18:39.20) and Nicole Brennan (18:42).
The Aztecs placed first in the team battle, with five runners finishing among the top 11 runners.
