I’m surprised to see that Edison jumped over MV for the top spot in the PAC-5. But it’s still early in the season, there are still some big games left to play. If Los Al beats La Habra this week they should move up a couple of slots. I think Servite is in for another battle this week with Chapperal. Don’t count out Chapperal they have a good program out there. Last year they almost beat Corona Centenial in the playoffs, and we all know how good Corona Centenial was, just ask De La Salle. Servite better come ready.
Calhoun this is a good placement for those teams performance at this early stage.
League play Cal. League play. That is when it counts. Most of these top teams will be up/down out then back in.
League.
Teams that you never count out are Poly and Lutheran.
out
Four Sunset league teams in the top ten, Amazing!. Even more amazing,
Newport Harbor ranked #10 in both the Pac -5 and the O.C. top ten.
sure quiet over at la palma and euclid. maybe next opponent on tough sched will sit 7 starters.
Sure looks like everyone has thrown Mater Dei under the bus. everyone must not believe that Mater Dei beat Centennial handily.
Even a 1-2 OLU gets a better ranking? A young M.D. team is improving week by week. Let’s see how close they can make the Edison game tomorrow night. I don’t expect they’ll win but if they show better than Servite did I expect they’ll still be ignored.
The reason people are not giving MD respect is because of their poor performances against Carson, Cypress and LA Jordan, which Esperanza beat 51 to 12. Right now MD has a long way to go to prove that they are an elite team this year. But they will get the chance to prove it on the field as we get to league in 2 weeks.
GO Fountain VALLEY
