Top Six Games to Watch in Week 3:
El Toro (2-1) vs. No. 19 Laguna Hills (1-1)
Friday, 7 p.m., at Laguna Hills High
Outlook: Robert Frith was promoted to head coach at El Toro before the start of spring practice. He was an assistant coach last season. So far, the transition has been smooth.
The Chargers, who returned 16 starters, are off to a good start and coming off of a 30-3 victory over Capistrano Valley last week. Jesse Bueno had two touchdown receptions and also intercepted a pass.
Things are looking up for the program. However, the Chargers’ opponent this week, Laguna Hills, might have made the greatest improvement over one week than any county team.
The Hawks lost their opener, 27-0, to Trabuco Hills. They got back to basics last week and responded with a 33-14 victory over Segerstom.
Laguna Hills rushed for 277 yards against the Jaguars. Will the Chargers be able to slow down the Hawks’ ground attack?
Can El Toro get to 3-1?
