Orange Lutheran moved up one spot to fourth after defeating Tustin, giving us an all-OC top four! Crespi fell three spots after Servite dealt with them. And after a 31-13 victory over Centennial of Corona, Mater Dei is …. still unranked. Long Beach Poly is ranked.

That’s a tough top 10 to crack … i.e. who do you take out?
Gotta get LBPoly out, thinkin they are there on last year(s) meriy although hery are tough fountain Valley certainly deserves the 10 th spot but suc is life that Edison/Servite game has got to be the hottest ticket in town and if Edison continues to throw like they have been look out , but what a game its gonna be just pullin my hair out trying to figure this one out!!!!
Get Los Al out of there who have they played with their cupcake pre-season…Really!!!! C-Mon guys get it together please I often wonder how you guys come up with this stuff.

7 out of the next 8 are grinders so its nice to have two easy games to start of with let alone each team they played had 3 first downs combined
Im not saying that they aren’t a good team, they are and probablly will be this year. However up to this point their ranking isn’t justified in my opinion. You have have to play someone to be in the top 5 in the county.
mater dei replaces poly and fountian valley replaces san clemente just because they are better and just to piss off bruin forever

Servite vs. Edison tough call, but i’ll go with the Friars any day.

Edison can’t pass if they don’t get the time. I’ll give Edison a couple of yards this game just because no team is perfect on defense. I do feel bad for Edison because Servite took home a BIG lesson in the Crespi win – don’t think you can cruise. Crespi is a great team and Servite physically pounded them first half and then let go. Servite coaches and players won’t make that mistake again!
I am sure the game is sold out by now. Good luck both teams – what a great macth up!
It is also Edison’s HOMECOMING game. It was sold out by Tuesday night. The guys are pumped…the Crowd is pumped…the alumni is pumped. We lost to them last year 7-0 it won’t happen again,
you felt sorry for the wrong team after the 23-9 beating that looked more like a 30-0 beatin. u must have felt sorry for your Friars by the 2nd quarter.LOL
No need to feel bad fot this Edison club, underdogs yes, but only slightly early in a season stranger things have happened, my call is they are gonna be ablr to throw and if their D plays up to their ability, this Edison club will be tough and up against the best football club in in So.Cal tus far so on awhim Edison 28 Servite 27

For the Servite, Crespi game. i think Crespi would have came out with a win. Servite could not come anywhere close to competing with Crespi in the second half. it would have been an interesting game either way but if crespi played the first half like the second i say Servite would have lost this game. with Crespi having 427 total yards compared to Servites 317 yards.
i really think you misjudge crespi’s ability to shock the pac-5 division and i dont agree with that low of a rank. they could possibly beat Oaks Christian if they were to match up against each other. Crespi just has to many offensive tools. and a deadly secondary, with line core.
I think LBP should be kicked out of top ten there is not reason for that team to be there. they have heart and passion for the game but there standards arent what they used to be anymore
c-house ,at least some one else saw the same game I did.not to take anything away from friars because special teams are a part of game , but there was no pounding as mattie5 says. and edison has a solid bunch on oline and front seven. now that we know #6 on servite is the real spark on offense, I see a huge edison win and a bad offensive night for friars

Maybe you missed the first half of the CRESPI Game. 31-0 at HALF that is a pounding. Yes, I was not happy with the second half some coaching errors, but the final is all that matters 1 point or 100 we win.
I guess it will take you to the end of the year when Servite are STATE CHAMPIONS for you to Believe……………………

saw the 1st half to. wasnt a pounding. again #6 kickoff return. deflected pass off receivers chest, and some bad field position due to punting buried crespi in 1st half. i hope I am wrong by end of season, but so far toughest sched has turned out over rated. friar mention a good def back field especially corners but he must have all ready called in his story before crespi started exposing those corners in 2nd half. viles and charges wont waste time doing same. also noticed a few 2 way players, that may be worn out in 2nd half of this game .fryer and the rest of oc varsity are feeding the frenzy at servite and when the euphoria evaporates I wouldnt want to be any where near la palma and brookhurst.
Maybe Edison should try such an overrated schedule their first loss would have been Poly…….The Feeding Frenzy will continue for all you doubters………See what you have to say in week 10!!!!!!!!!!! By the Way:

hahahaha. This is awesome to read. Servite is SLOW. They couldnt handle 2 good receivers. What are they gonna do with two tail backs who can catch the ball and make things happen in space? Edison had a bad first half because of 2 returned kickoffs. they over looked dana hills then got refocused and throttled them. Servites given up a shit load more 50 something points where edison has given up less than 30 points. Im sorry but poly is a joke, clovis west played without star players and crespi was scared in the first half something a dave white coached team will not be. Jordan Zumwalt will handle this game. That defense is ready. and viles threw for 485 yards last week. I think servite will give up at least 300 through the air.
I am curious, EDISON is about one quarter of the Huntinton Beach School District along with Marina, Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach High Schools assigned to specific boundry areas. What area does Servite cover? Are they assigned to a specific boundry area in the Anahiem School District? An inquring mind wants to know.
Hey Keeping it REAL………….Let see what you have to say after the game when your wrong and Viles doesn’t hit his receivers because he didn’t have time to throw the ball. Keep looking for excuses to why Servite won their first 3-games. It will be even better to hear what your excuse will be when Edison is the next team to get knocked off by Servite. I know maybe it will be the Officials. That hasn’t been used yet!
Edison is good but not good enough to win this one.

Hi ray i heard matt viles didin’t get touch Friday night, what we saw @ the game was Sam saultz 280 calvin hollinsworth 270 Kyle Finney 230, Luke Gane 240 and Roman Sapolu 265 push the friars around. I dont think ive ever heard Kirifi Taulas name after the block field goal. I have been following Edison fooball for over 20 years and this is one of coach Whites biggest line in a long long time. It was a complete game by the line against an opponent i saw steve Fryer brag about on good day LA about its physical defense. We had an after party @ Zubies with some of my alumni friends you shouldve been it wae a lot of fun Moving Sapolu to the middle was a brilliant move because solid offensive lines are built from inside out.
hey, ray. looks like keepitreal saw the same crespi game I did,and read the same thing I did in clovis not having seven starters play,Hmmm could be on to something.have you even seen viles play. even if your front 4 survives 3qts of going both ways he still can improvise and throw out of pocket.and edison has allways had strong linebackers so good luck with that overated non prolific offense.
Whatshisname…..Good point on your 2-Way comment I do agree that with the depth of talent that Servite has I hope the coaches learned something from last week. I believe they did. I never said Viles wasn’t good……..I just know our defense will make the difference.

wow…….the back and forth smack talk is amazing…..I guess Servite couldnt get the recruiting down right this year to beat a public school…..hahahahaha….god must have been on our side this year.
