Am I reading this right?? Someone voted for JSerra as a Top 10 team in the Pac-5! They have won exactly zero league games in OC. Ever. Have they ever even won a game against another Pac-5 opponent??

    • No love? says:

      They will this year!
The past doesnt matter … its a new year …
      Mater Dei 0-5 in league

oc has only 5 teams in the top10 of pac 5rankings and one of em is 0-1. and marer dei isnt bad its just that maybe southwest is catching up.more upsets to come.

REGARDING J SERRA – I’ve been watching JSerra over the last couple seasons. Although their varsity teams left a lot to be desired, their Freshman & JV teams have been getting progressively more buffed and talented. Don’t assume too little for them. Although they may not hold out too much to OL, Servite, or MD just yet, don’t be surprised if they end up shocking most of us. Hey, any team can win any day. They’re on target to break through SOONER than later. We’ll have to see.

Things seem a little strange when Tesoro can be ranked higher than Fountain Valley who just worked them last week. L.B. Poly ranked 8th doesn’t make since either. There 0-2 with a very young team, are you ranking on name or possible talent.

JSerra goes 5-0 in pre-league each year. This year is same as the others. Their thoughest game is Pacifica, a team ranked 2,100+ nationally. All other opponents are ranked between 3,500 and 10,000+.

I just don’t see how they got a vote to be Pac-5 Top 10. Arguably one of the toughest divisions in the country. I’m glad they are improving, ranked in the top 1000 nationally, that helps strengthen the other Trinity League teams schedules.

How they get a vote before an 0-2 Mater Dei or Santa Margarita for that matter? I don’t get it.

All i have to say is that Edison has improved alot since last year and maybe the year before the last.losing crissman, white, and the offense they had was alot but they improved alot.class of ’10 is a special class

THere are alot of great teams this year, but im thinking servite is gunna take this year. They are looking really talented.

    • Greendog says:

The Pac5 is tough as usual, It is to soon to call anyone a favorite. Last year Notre Dame was looking great and didn’t make the finals. The top leagues are all loaded and after that 5 way tie in the Sunset last year I can’t wait for these leagues to start play! Don’t forget the people voting have their favorites like all of us, but all of the teams get to prove it on the field.

    • ftballexpert says:

Rankings mean nothing at this time of the year. It is where you finish that matters and how far you go in the playoffs. Servite obviously is very good and i think a Mission – Servite matchup might be very interesting. Mission is very talented this year and could go very deep in the playoffs.

    • johnconner says:

yes we have to wait and have the teams prove themselves on the field but last years team in Edison they were all juniors besides a few players and now their seniors and more experienced i think they have a chance to pull sunset league to themselves and pull a win verse servite

    • jeez.. says:

Tdboy man jserra is a new school this is their third year of playin trinty league teams…its one of the toughest leagues in the nation which is down a little this year..watch one of jserra’s games and u will see that their goin to win a league game this year and who knows else

    • joebarons27 says:

like to keep fv under the radar a bit longer but how can tesero get more votes than us we whipped them by 21 points

    • fball fanatic says:

After seeing how easily Edison beat Servite tonight, maybe its time Dana Hills got some credit for being just another team is the South Coast league! They had edison down 17-13 at the half and if they didn’t fumble on the 1 yard line midway through the 3rd would have been up 24-20 going into the 4th! They beat both Santa Margarita and El Toro convincingly and either Servite was very overated or Dana is flat out good!
