Pacifica didn’t play last week but moved up two spots, partly because preseason No. 7 Foothill lost its opener.
Canyon dropped out of the top 10 after losing to Fullerton.
No. 1 La Habra opens the season this week.

As expected. No major moves since only a few SW teams played week 0 games.
If PaCIFica can start off the season with a win against ElDorado it could rally the Mariners into a run at the 2009 Title. We beat Eldo back in my day, I was against a guy named Dressel and he got nothin’. GO FIGHT WIN PHS U R THE BEST !!!!!
IMHO, Having seen Trabuco Hills and Eldo live(last year), I feel those two deserve a much higher ranking.
ElDo having a new coach & no Kane Wilson is probably the reason for them being so low to start. They should be higher because they return a number of their offensive line and almost all of their defensive starters from last year.
I don’t know much about Trabuco except for their running back. They should be over Western at least.
This season is going to be fun to follow. The play offs are going to be great. There are so many good teams in this division.
Well ill tell ya about trabuco, they are very good, they hit , they play good tough football and will give La Habra (who i pick to go undefeated) everything they want, and all of us have a chance to see one great game if these two hook-up(LA Habra-Trabuco) my opinion is Tustin is good but not in the class of a champion and they wont win their league Wilkerson or no Wilkerson.
GOOD thing u know that 50 cents and your opinion will not even get u a newspaper. 10 block so 1 can run us to the championship heart soul class all that is tustin football. i have 25 cents if u need it
Class of champion ? What would Trabuco/you know about class of champion ? This decade so far you have what to speak of ? 1 league title since getting bumped down from the South Coast league. 2 semi-final appearances (3 counting the run to the finals) & 1 finals appearance.
We have 3 league titles, 4 semi-finals (5 counting the run to the finals) & 1 finals appearance. Since getting bump up from the Golden West league. It’s 2 league titles, 3 semi-finals (4 counting the run to the finals) & 1 finals appearance.
That’s funny. Saying one team is no class of champion when they’ve accomplished more than your team has this decade.
Where is Buena Park? They should be in the TOP 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you see that thrashing of Bassett!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boy oh boy do you second stringers get upset when your given the facts.Tustin got whipped yes whipped 4 times last year and were thrashed by La Habra every team Tustin beat or lost to La Habra beat so get use to Tustin will NOT be in the semis nor the finals and Trabuco Hills and La Habra will, so if ya wanna team up with winners get aboard the Highlander train cuz its not stopping until maybe yes only a maybethey have to play Trabuco Hills, and if either team plays Tustin you will see that Tustin is a second rate team with second rate coaches but do have every year a couple of athletes, hey Country what have ya done for me lately??..oh i remember you LOST in the finals.LOL

Well I’m sure I’ve done something else between that time (CIF Final) and now. I mean it has been ALMOST A YEAR since then. And seriously dude. What’s the point of binging up last year ? Last year’s team isn’t playing this year.
Oh, I was following that re-leaguing committee that went down during the off-season. Surprised to hear that La Habra fought hard to keep the current Freeway league intact. Couldn’t bare the thought of not playing Buena Park, Sonora & Sunny Hills year in and year out huh.
Honestly, I’d like to see Trabuco make it to the semi or finals. Since they won’t make any playoffs appearances when they start that new South County Conference play next year. La Habra will of course since well … you know.
You DUDE are the DUDE who brings upp all the accolades of Tustins historic past.not me. and in that historic past no rings, so practice what you preach and again i invite you to come watch the 4 best teams in the confrence in the semis and 2 of them teams will be La Habra and Trabuco Hill and the other 2 well we dont know yet but certainly not Tustin a second rate team with 1 great back hey now!!

Well, you got me there. But it’s still BS to say Trabuco is a class of champion and Tustin isn’t when you compare their accolades.

Tustin, El Dorado, Cypress & Pacifica will be in the run for those “4” spots along with Trabuco & La Habra. This is football after all. There’s no guarantee spots in the semis for anyone.

We have 4 weeks to develop a legit 2nd & 3rd offensive threat in time for league play, 9 weeks for the playoffs. Til then, that one great back has an experienced line (3 returning starters) & the returning starting fullback from last year to pave the way for him. Whoever decides to step up as 2 & 3 can join in on the plowing.
Tustin, El Dorado, Cyress, and Pacifica will not make the semis.believe that,yes games have to be played we all know that, La Habra is the CLASS of the division,Trabuco Hills is a very close 2nd, all others have a shot but the 4 you mentioned i doubt will be there, look we can banter all day the bottom line is last year means nothing, Tustin got hot and made a run but their coach blew it we both know that, with the plain talent of that offense last year to only put what 18 or so against an okay defense of La Habra is pitiful, and Tustin is not anywhere near as good as last year we both know that but 7 other schools have become better and Trabuco Hills is 1 of them so quit playing up Tustin like their in the mix of the great teams cuz there not so get over it move on and keep rooting.but La Habra is WAY better program .

Man, Buena Park lost a clincher last night. 19-loss out of 21 tries. We were supposed to dominate the Freeway and SW section. thats ok we will go undefeated the rest of the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this goes to all the guys saying that buena park should be in the top. buena park needs to win at least one league game before they are caonsidered to be on the top. buena park has had a couple of good starts to their season for instance, 2003 3-2 start, 2005 4-1 start, but they always seem to stumble during league play. so not until they win a leauge game or prove that they can matchup against fullerton or la habra should they be considered to be on the top list.
