Football: Sluggish start for Trinity League

September 5th, 2009, 12:03 am · · posted by

football_blogYes, Servite represented the way I expected the Friars to Thursday night against Long Beach Poly. But much of the rest of the Pac-5 Division league has come out of the blocks slow.

Orange Lutheran lost to Pickerington/Ohio, 28-14.

Santa Margarita falls to Dana Hills, 34-19.

Mater Dei scores only a safety in a loss to Carson, 14-2.

St. John Bosco falls to powerhouse St. Bonaventure, 34-10.

The only other team to win their season-opener was JSerra, which played the weakest opponent – Palos Verdes.

Sure, it’s early but the Trinity League appears to have its share of work to do.
