O.C. football Top 25: No. 12

12. Fountain Valley

(7-4 overall, 3-2 and tied for first place in the Sunset League in 2008)

This could be a breakthrough year for the Barons. They bring back one of the county’s top running backs, Kyle Middlebrooks, and an all-league quarterback, Dominic Ragland. The offensive line is big and strong. Fountain Valley has four returning starters on defense, too. If the passing game catches up the running game, Fountain Valley could compete for the league title again.

Valley’s got a shot at a league title this year…though Edison may have something to say about that.

edison team to beat lost last year by td. if coach plays middlebrooks with 25-30 carries, dont be scared to put him on the punt return, besides kickoffs.also come up with 2 tight end set.play error free football.we might have chance at 1st,2nd,3rd. hopefully this year it wont be 5 way tie like last year.its to bad edison & newport lost coin flip, they deserved to go. i know this will be all teams in sunset league not to let this happened to them.go barons
