O.C. FOOTBALL TOP 25
11. La Habra
(12-2 overall, 5-0 and first place in the Freeway League in 2008)
Three in a row? The Highlanders look good enough to win a third consecutive CIF championship. Start with Josh Quezada, and that’s a great place to start. The running back/linebacker is one of the county’s top players, and is getting recruited like it, too. La Habra has to fill some key vacancies at quarterback and three offensive line positions. But the defense is solid, and the Highlanders have major momentum going for them, the kind of momentum that makes kids want to be part of the program.

Josh – is RB and Defensive Back – not Linebacker?
Easy mistake, when the kid can hit like a linebacker.
This is just about where La Habra should be, however, if they defeat San Clemente, or Los Al, they should take a place in the top ten for sure.
cant wait for another exciting season from the highlanders! lets go BIG BLUE!
CIF champions is a relative term when you can’t beat a team that is always third in league and hasn’t won a CIF game since it’s seniors were in middle school. Beat San Clemente then you belong in the top 20, but until then, stick to your division 8 CIF section.
Bruin4ever alot of talk when la habra only lost bye 1or 2 points by these division I teams last year. I’ll let the football players of la habra do all talking on the field. Ohh Rahh Semper Fi…
Here we go again.. so it doesnt matter La Habra has earned its way to be in the top 7 at least, year after year they either win the ring, get to the semis, and year after year they stay just about #11 according to Albano, Calhoun, OCvarsity.so ya know it doesnt matter what matters is they probably will win it again have a great chance of goin undefeated and will be #11 again, so be it,

The reason CIF gave the divisions ficticious names was to drum up myopic support for lower division high school football divisions.
In the real world isn’t La Habra in division 6 or 8 or something like that. Why don’t you read about USD or APU football in college in the newspaper? Because it isn’t the same as USC or UCLA football.
In both cases the lower levels isn’t the bigs…It’s the minor league.
bruin for ever!pretty sad you use your favorite school in here, because maybe if you guys would move to naia you might win a division championship, so for you to compare san clemente in this manner is correct. nail biter wins against non bcs schools and 3rd place league finish, and bounced in playoffs. do something surf roid or change leagues, otherwise shut up!!
LIKE UCLA FOOTBALL
Whatever dude,The real deal is if your “program” is soooo good, why are all these kids that win so much going to these small schools Outside of Mc Donough and Hillman you got nothing,Francis was your best player in decades and he’s where? Don’t talk about what you don’t know about, your school could not compete at D! level on a consistant basis and most people that follow CIF are not fooled by Mazzota’s [BIG fish in a little pond] coaching style, jezz where has his father been coaching……..JC!! A bright future i’m sure!
number 3 on coach of decade, so whata in you wallet. what has san clemente done this decade. and does it really matter, cause who has the rings surf roid. and you forgot ryan winterswyck at boise state for the clans best player of decade. as for divisions how bout hicks at wsu or coleman, unfortunatly waring baby bruin blue. wheres some san clemente players in college coach? back iy up or shut up.
Come on now bruin fan we all know a quarter of the team is from military parents. So they come from all over the United States. I know this because i was marine stationed at camp pendleton. Then my best friend son played for San Clemente and was from New York. Besides that san clemente has 3500 students or more la habra 2500 or less. Your area for kids to come to that school is way bigger then la habra. Let us combine sonora then i guarantee we will whoop that butt every year division 1. Just like if they combined troy and fullerton. remember City of La Habra and Fullerton little league and pop warner kick all southern teams butts every year and win most of bowl games. La habra for being a small city we kick butt, and so does fullerton.
well with los al @san clemente it will become clear by week five
La Habra once again. Fullerton’s last chance. Sunny Hills a new beginning with a bright future. Power shift in the Freeway league begins this year.
Believe me aroundthebases the power shift may begin this year with La Habra already the frontrunner leaping into becoming one of the best teams in all of orange county top 5 for sure that program has climbed year after year for the past 10, and within the next 5 years your gonna see 5 to 7 players yeary goin on to play D-1 ball they are loaded with great coaching and its the whole package, i do agree that Sunny Hills will be up a notch but will it be a flash in the pan?? time will tell but no power shift at all LaHabrsa hands down for the next several years
hey bruin fan you guys did the same smack talking last year about this tme san clemente is nothing but a bunch of spoiled rottin rich kids at lest we got heart so shut the hell up little punk. go back to your job at taco bell
ps highlanders dont talk smack YEAH
