20. Pacifica

(6-6 overall, 3-3 and 3rd place in Empire League in 2008)

The Mariners lost a good coach when Guy Gardner left to take the coaching job at Palos Verdes High. They replaced him with a good one, Marcello Giuliano. Giuliano led Sunny Hills last season, his only one there, to its first playoff appearance in four years. Pacifica has a lot of returnees on the offensive line, including ’08 All-Empire League first-team selections Ross Pitsenberger and Evan Scovill.

Pacifica returns all 5 lineman and 4 were all league and have a total of 16 returnees…i think they were a little underrated here but obviously thats my HOMER opinion. I think they should be ahead of Canyon and CDM…cant wait for that El Do game…

well if pacifica should be higher then cypress should most definitely higher. i dont really understand how cypress is picked to with the empire this year and yet pacifica is ranked ahead in the OC poll. cypress is going to be even better this year than last year and went undefeated in a pretty competitive league last year. not really understand whats going on here. as usual, cypress will have to prove everyone wrong. buts its not a big deal, we do it all the time.
