O.C. FOOTBALL TOP 25
17. Dana Hills
(5-5 overall, 2-3 and 4th place in South Coast League in 2008)
Dana Hills improved record-wise a great deal from 2007 to ’08, going from 1-8-1 two years ago to the .500 finish last year. A softened nonleague schedule helped, but so did a productive passing game led by quarterback Sean Schroeder, the county’s No. 4 passer in ’08. The Dolphins have to replace him, and all-league players Brett Giesen at running back and Dylan Denso at receiver, but they do have three returning offensive lineman. Good enough to be a playoff team in most county leagues, Dana Hills might be fourth-best, at best, again in the South Coast League. And the Dolphins not only have to play Mission Viejo and Tesoro in league, they also have a challenging nonleague schedule that includes Edison, Newport Harbor and Santa Margarita.

I don’t get why they have that type of pre season schedule only to walk into one of the toughest leagues in the state.
They may be the 17th best team in the county, but by the middle of league they’ll be so beat up, they may not be able to beat Capo.
I agree, it’s been going on forever! We beat Capo and Aliso. Just cant seem to play with Mission, Tesoro, and San Clemente. It was fun watching us take it to MV the first half last year, but it’s a four quarter game.
hahaha c’mon now i think their cheerleaders could beat capo

Any suggestions, and who is taking over for Sean Schroeder at QB this year?
Josh Dean will be playing QB, very athletic. This years team is scary strong but the depth is a little shaky. Guess we will see!
So they easily knocked off Santa Margarita in game opener. This team is under-rated. The community support is HUGE as witnessed by an overflow of fans last night comparable to Homecoming. This year will be strong. KNOW IT!
SC and Tesoro better be prepared.
straight up…they better be prepared were gonna take it to them
