A memorial celebration for legendary swim coach Flip Darr will be held Aug. 2 at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point at 7 p.m. The celebration will be held at Section A in the park behind the snack bar.

Flip flops and aloha shirts are optional. Awesome!

My guess is that a ton of folks are going to attend, including some of the big-name swimmers that Flip coached over the years.
