
University’s Ani Gulugian holed five biridies on Saturday at Dalhousie Golf Club to finish with a 1-under 71 in the final round of the AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions and place third, 10 shots behind first-pace Victoria Tanco (Bradenton, Fla.)
Gulugian, who has qualified to play in next week’s U.S. Women’s Open, never posted a round worse than an even-par 72 during the tournament and carded a four-round total of 285.
Servite’s Patrick Cantlay, the Register’s boys Golfer of the Year, shot a 4-under 68 in the final round and finished in a tie for 10th. Cantlay, who had six birdies on his round on Saturday, entered the final round tied for 24th.
