Correction again, Kyle Middlebrooks did make the finals at the State meet in the 100m and he took 2nd behind Randall Carrol the #1 sprinter who is a senoir. Kyle is 2nd in the state the other three sprinters did not make it to state.

Correction on above comment Kyle didnt make the finals in the 200 meters in state.I still think Middlebrooks achievments were extrodinary and he deserves it , specially from a state with all the top notch sprinters.

Jason,

First off thank you for even responding.I just feel that the accomplishment was not even credited by the proper channels such as the Orange County Register. As an example you give extreme credit to Kyle Middlebrooks who i think deserves such, but he only accomplished 5th in state in the 100 meters and if i recall right he did not make the finals in state.OLU relay team was a underdog by a big margin,no one gave them a chance..soo when they accomplished the imposible i think it should make a top 5 list at the very least. As a side note the relay team was also the Orange County champions in both sprint relays.Dont forget this team was not invited to the Arcadia meet either and look who they beat Rosevelt,Rancho Verde and all others who competed.Great story if followed up by good reporters like yourself and Fryer.

Dear Nostradames,

Thanks for the email. Again with a list like this, there were some tough decisions to make and that was one of them. The Olu relay team definitely accomplished a spectacular feat in 2009....

Dear uhh,

Thanks for your comment. The Dana Hills boys team winning the CIF-SS Division I title was a wonderful accomplishment for the program and was definitely up for consideration for my list...

And FYI, the Dana Hills girls track and field team did not win the CIF-SS Division I track and field title this season, they finished 10th at the CIF-SS Division I Finals...The Dolphins did claim the boys and girls state titles in cross country last fall.....
