They finished fourth, loosing to the SoCal "Dream-team" , a powerful Lamorinda Club Team and a nail-biter to San Diego Shores. Laguna, Los Al, and Edison have many return starters and are playing very well among "high school teams" this summer. But it seems like the Newport girls are playing consistently above the top OC teams so far: taking 1st at the Villa Park tournament last weekend; qualifying against "university level" club teams for a spot in the 20&U tournament in Stockton next month; finishing 6th (highest among "high school teams") in the Commerce Cup, taking 2nd to Dos Pueblos at the Santa Barbara tourney; and 3rd against club teams at Irvine tournament to start the summer..
