I'm working on an all-tournament team from the Air Strike Tournament and debating the following question ...
Now, before you dismiss the Edison defense as a legit choice ...
remember that the Chargers posted a shutout in the finals. Now, how many times does that happen in a passing tournament?
And that Oaks Christian squad is loaded with several recruits, including a Pac-10 QB in Nick Montana (committed to Washington).
Edison coach Dave White called his defense's effort in the final, "Unbelievable"
The Chargers' corners: Luke Eddy, Tyler Troya
Safeties: Houston, Trojan
LBs: Jordan Zumwalt, Steve Malone, Sean McLaughlin
"Those seven guys were pretty dynamic," White said.
Did you hever THINK of going to San Clemente? You had some great teams playing over there also. The kid from Lakewood was good, San Clemente had some good LB's.
You guys missed a good amount of football, again.
thanks.
OCV reader - I definitely thought about heading to SC.
But once I got to Dana - the action and number of intriguing OC teams/players was too strong for me to leave. And when I did depart, it was time to start to blogging.
But I will be at the Edison tourney and will first look up one of the squads i missed at the Air strike:Tesoro. I also hope to catch SC and Rettig at some pt this summer
