  • Not sure how these players are selected? From my observation Cole Duncan from Troy is an error of omission. I think he was a Freeway league leader, or near the top in hitting and pitching. Too not receive even 2nd team acknowledgement seems to be just wrong. Several other Freeway league players are listed, none played better or produced more than Cole.

  • Fwyfan says:

You are right, Duncan is a standout player (athletically, academically and most of all morally) and should have gotten acknowledged.

But it isn't fair to say that the other Fwy League players didn't play better or produce more. Take another look at the stats on MaxPreps, overall and league play.

You can bet he will be successful in the coming years on and off the field! Good luck to Cole and all the seniors.

    • Baseballer says:

Congratulation's to all of the Freeway League players who did make this list. Hey aroundthebases...open your eyes a little. Duncan is a good player and maybe could have made it on this list but how can you say that any of these guys are not better than him. Esquerra, Lorenzen, and Ficociello were the top hitters in the league. Belleque was the top pitcher in the league and Salinas was not too far behind. Rather than complaining why Duncan didn't make it why don't you just congratulate the guys who did.

  • BBallFan says:

Yah your team has to make CIF in order to make all CIF. You can be the best player in the world but your team has to make it to the playoffs

  • BBallFan says:

And cole was not near the top in the league for pitching. Pretty average year for a pitcher if you ask me

  • Fwyobserver says:

These past couple of years the standout juniors at Sonora have followed with a very forgettable senior year. It's just how every raider does it. So don't look for litchfield to sneak another MVP by everybody else next year. Pretty funny how the MVP came from the third place team. Seems like someone over at Sonora has been brown nosing it a little

  • BASEBALLER says:

Congratulations to the real co-MVP's; Lorenzen and Ficociello from Fullerton. They took it to all of us and should have been recognized as the co-MVP's of the league.

  • jose munoz says:

Where is Tyler Skaggs?!?!?! Picked 40th overall by the Angels and he's not ALL-CIF???

  • ljhkfsdahljkfsd says:

i just think chad wallach throwing an unbelievable game against bishop amat in the 1st round was huge for calvary. even though he got the loss. he stepped into their home field striking out 8 or 9 guys and kept us in the ball game 2-1 for 6 innings. until the scored 2 in the bottom of the half of the inning to make the score 4-1.he pitched toe to toe against amats best pitcher paul paez and kept us in the game against paul. we had the tying run thrown out at the plate in the 6th inning also. he really proved himself as a junior that he could pitch against the heavily favored amat team at amat. i know calvary shocked amat, their coaches players and fans were shocked we were still in the game in the 7th inning. chad wallach should be at least an all cif guy.
