Edison-Capistrano Valley, still 0-0 as we go into the bottom of the sixth.
Edison loaded the bases in the top of the sixth. With two outs, Tyler Matzek replaced Kevin Chambers on the mound for Capo. Matzek threw a ball to Edison’s Tanner Phillips, then Phillips popped out to first base on the next pitch for the third out.
Matzek had gone into the bullpen during the bottom of the fifth, and warmed up earnestly out there. That stategic move paid off for Capo.
