Boys basketball coach Tom McCluskey will not lose his physical education teaching position at Trabuco Hills, where staff reductions have occurred just as they have at other schools in the county.
Trabuco Hills athletic director Jack Recla made the announcement today.
The 2009-10 season will be McCluskey’s sixth at the school. He has coached elsewhere, including Golden West College and at Tustin High. He coached Tustin to a state championship in the early 1990s.
McCluskey had received a reducion in force notice, but Trabuco Hills, with 900 incoming freshmen this coming fall, will not eliminate his position.
