The playoffs continue Friday. Only a handful of county teams remain in contention.

Here’s  look at Division V:

Teams remaining: 8

County teams alive: 2 (No. 1 St. Margaret’s, Sage Hill)

Quarterfinal times: Friday, 7pm

Brackets: Top Half – St. Margaret’s-*Cantwell Sacred Heart; *Flintridge Prep-Arrowhead Christian; Bottom Half – Chadwick-*Sage Hill; *Whitney-Salesian

Outlook

St. Margaret’s-Cantwell Sacred Heart

The two teams haven’t met this season but share one common opponent – Vistamar. The Tartans beat them once while Cantwell lost to them twice. That can be a telling sign for St. Margaret’s. However, going on the road in the playoffs is not easy.

Sage Hill-Chadwick

The Lightning lost to the Dolphins in five games back on March 10. That was a long time ago. Chadwick finished first in the Prep League. The Lightning finished behind St. Margaret’s in the Academy. The Tartans swept Chadwick earlier this season. We’ll see whether Sage Hill or Chadwick has improved more since their first meeting. That was a road game for the Lightning.
