The hard luck loser was Tarbut V’Torah’s Matthew Littman, who fell to Santa Monica’s Christobol Rivera 6-1, 6-0.

Dana Hills Warren Hardie moved on with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Nick Larson (Corona/S).

Los Alamitos Derek Siddiqui advanced by beating Mason Biddle (Arlington) 6-0, 6-1.

Siddiqui and Hardie face each other in Round 2.

Sage Hill Alex Koeberle also advanced, winning 6-0, 6-1 over Maises Andrade (Savanna).
