Update 2
Warren Hardie (Dana Hills) lead Derek Siddiqui (Los Alamitos) 7-6. That these players are meeting in the second round is unreal. Both lost in the quarterfinals of CIF last year. Hardie is the second best player at the site, behind University’s John Huang, yet he drew the toughest draw of any singles player.
Hardie made it to the semifinals of Ojai this year, and none of the other three semifinalists are even at this site, yet the guy gets this draw? Wow. I can’t believe. I can’t wait to hear what Hardie has to say about it himself.
Speaking on John Huang, he advanced to Round 3, winning 6-0, 6-0 over Ulises Banos of Corona
