aoy_boys_medYou nominated your favorites and we threw in some of our own. Sure, we left out deserving candidates. That’s what’s going to happen when you try to narrow all of Orange County’s boys high school athletes down to 16.

Now it’s time to start the voting.

Who will become the second OCVarsity fans’ choice for boys athlete of the year (following Savanna’s Dominique Williams from last year)? It’s up to you, the fans of Orange County high school sports.

Yes, we’ll select the Register/OCVarsity athlete of the year, but this is one more chance for you to support the county’s top athletes.

So, here are the first-round matchups. Click on the links to cast your votes (we’re on an honor system here, so please no setting up computer programs to vote non-stop) and leave your comments (please keep them positive and avoid bashing athletes).

First-round voting ends Friday at 5 p.m.
