Coaches have been scrambling to come up with alternate plans for Saturday’s scheduled second-round matches.
With the USTA Nationals also being played on Saturday, top teams are facing the possibility of playing Round 2 without their best players.
Schools such as University, Thousand Oaks and Santa Barbara could have up to 5 players out.
Some of the conflicts have already been worked out. Some are still being worked out. (This is assuming all the teams mentioned advance to the second round)
Troy-Peninsula are playing their second round Friday at Peninsula.
Northwood-Mater Dei are working on a plan to play Friday.
University is still working on a way to play their second round match.
Corona del Mar-Mira Costa is playing Friday.
Dana Hills-Santa Barbara and Santa Margarita-Palos Verdes are still deciding on Friday or Monday.
Laguna Beach is still waiting to hear something either way.
