If that's the case in regards to defensive players deserving the credit that they are due, then Jacob Slone #20 from Sonora High School deserves to be playing in this game as well. He is a better on ball defender than this Marina kid. Just ask any Freeway league guards including Sachs (OC leading scorer) from La Habra and anyone else on the schedule that went home to have nightmares of this guy because of his physical and swarming defense.

(Re: FV Fan)

Im sure that youre just being biased, because if you had attended any of Marina's games, especially in the playoffs, then you would realize how notable the contributions by these James brothers were. They are selected based on overall performance and future outlook as to what they can bring to their respective programs for the duration of their high school career. Im not saying Im not biased, but you need to understand that to be an "All-Start" doesnt necessarily mean your plays must show up on the stat sheet at the end of the night. If you had attended any of their games, you would understand that. Tyler James deserves to be an All-Star because he is their best on ball defender (you know, defensive players deserve the credit also) and his brother JJ James averages great numbers for a freshman. My apologies if he isnt the leading scorer on a program that has no other offensive options, but luckily for JJ Marina does, therefore he can put up his great numbers and still learn from his upperclassmen teammates.

I can't believe the way these all star teams are picked! It's not the kids fault but the parents need to stay out of it. The two brothers from Marina are not among the best twenty elite underclassmen in orange county, they aren't among the best 100 in orange county, I feel sorry for the kids that really belong in this game. It's time to take all the politics out of these so called all-star games or don't call them all-star games because they aren't.
