    #15 Edison

Record should show 14-5, not 13-5-1. There was no tie game with Newport as the game was never played, Newport forfeited their game vs. Edison…I believe a forfeit should show a 7-0 win for Edison.

    • Edison73 says:

You are correct in that Newport did Forfeit the game. I know that there was no score called in,so where did The Register come up with a Tie.

  • EdMan says:

Thanks Carlos for correcting the Edison record. Just came back from the Edison vs Los Alamitos game. Edison came out on top 9-3 with stellar pitching and timely hits. Sunset league is getting tight!

    • EHS Fan says:

Today is the day that Edison shows if it is for real or a team that is still on the margins. Last time these two teams played Edison melted down and blew a five run lead in the last two innings at Esperanza. It was a humiliating loss for the kids and their coaches. Today we see what kind of mettle Edison has. If Edison loses today at home, write them off. They’re still a year away from the chance of being good. If they win, on the other hand, they could make a run at second, which would be a very good finish in the tough Sunset League and very good preparation for CIF where they could make a nice little run.

  • CARLOS ARIAS says:

EdMan: Thanks for the heads up. The Sunset League is the most competitive in the county. It’s going to be a fun couple of weeks.

    • EHS Fan says:

Edison wins a tough game against Esperanza tonight. I think they deserve a little bump in the polls. They certainly shouldn’t be separated so much from Esperanza, especially since their overall record is so much better. Playing in the Sunset with the likes of Esperanza, Marina, and Los Alamitos should get them a little more love. Don’t you think so Carlos?

I guess you are an “EHS fan” only if they win the big games. Writing a team off for one loss shows your ignorance with the sport and your lack of understanding with the competition in the Sunset league.

I recall Marina losing some important games early in the season.
