Outlook: There is always a big game or two in the South Coast League and for this week, I’m going with this series.

Both teams are tied with Tesoro for first place in the league standings. Capistrano Valley won the first meeting with Dana Hills, 6-0, March 25.

Tyler Matzek did what Tyler Matzek usually does in the game: he dominated the opposition. He pitched a one-hit shutout.

He has been dealing with a blister problem but returned in the Anaheim Lions Tournament against Mission Viejo. He was throwing smoke, hitting 91-94 on the gun and his off-speed stuff was practically unhittable.

The key to Dana Hills’ success is pitching and defense. In the first meeting, Dana Hills committed four errors.

The Dolphins also committed three errors in Tuesday’s game against Calabasas.

Can the Dolphins eliminate the mistakes? Will Matzek have a repeat performance against Dana Hills?
