Friday: Corona del Mar (8-8, 4-2) at Beckman (14-3, 6-0), 3:15 p.m.
Outlook: The battle for Pacific Coast League supremacy is on the line this week as the Sea Kings and Patriots meet twice — Tuesday and Friday.
Beckman won the first meeting, 4-3, on March 20.
CdM has lost two consecutive games, both coming in the Beach Pit Classic. The Patriots were ranked third in the Division III two weeks, but reached the No. 1 spot last week.
The teams put on an offensive slugfest Tuesday with Beckman winning, 17-10. The Patriots had six extra base hits.
Is there any pitching left for this game? Or will the hitters all be fighting at the bat rack?

Damian, have you or Steve Fryer even been to a Pacific Coast League game? I don’t think so or you would know a little more about Beckman and not just going off box scores. The OC Register doesn’t care about any school other than Mater Dei or El Toro and their bias shows clearly that they don’t get out to see a lot of really good baseball being played elsewhere in the county.
