Mater Dei junior Michael Woepse set a new Orange County pole vaulting record, clearing 16 feet, 9 inches to win the competition at the Arcadia Invitational.
Woepse breaks the mark held by former St. Margaret’s vaulter Johnny Quinn, who cleared 16 feet, 8 inches in 2006.
