Here’s a quick look at some of Tuesday’s action from around the county.

In the Trinity League:

No. 9 Mater Dei 3, St. John Bosco 1: Harry Carroll (18 kills) and Chris Trefzger (33 assists) led the Monarchs (15-4, 3-1) past the host Braves 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 25-9.

Servite 3, JSerra Catholic 0: Steven Coulson had 13 kills and Will Reutgen chipped in 29 assists to propel the Friars (13-6, 1-3) to their first league win of the season over the Lions  25-15, 25-20, 25-19 at J Serra High.

In the Academy League:

St. Margaret’s 3, Oxford Academy 0: Harley Frost and Woody Quinn each had a team high 13 kills, as the Tartans (6-3, 3-0) remained undefeated in league with a home victory over the Patriots 25-14, 25-14, 27-25.

In the Alpha League:

Whittier Christian 3, L.A. Baptist 2: Paul Wilson and Mario Zamorano combined for 35 kills, and Ernesto Durham and Zach Cokely totaled 67 assists, as the visiting Heralds pulled out the win over the Knights 25-17, 26-28, 26-24, 25-23, 16-14.

In the Pacific Coast League:

Irvine 3, University 0: The duo of David Andrade and Trevor Hollabaugh produced 23 kills, while Jon Lindgren dished out 33 assists, as the Vaqueros (13-8, 1-2) knocked off the Trojans 25-8, 25-12, 29-27 at Irvine High.

In the Sea View League:

Woodbridge 3, Northwood 0: Michael Larkin led the way with 15 kills, as the Warriors swept the Timberwolves 25-20, 25-23, 25-15 at Woodbridge High.
