
El Dorado baseball coach Steve Gullotti said his coaching days will end when this season is completed for the Golden Hawks.
Gullotti will move into the athletic director position at El Dorado, a position currently held by another veteran in county athletics, Carl Sweet.
Gullotti is in his 28th season coaching El Dorado baseball. His record is 504-242, and he has coached the Golden Hawks to seven league championships and two CIF championships.
Gullotti has coached several players who went on to play in the major leagues, including Brett Boone, Phil Nevin, Dan Petry and Brett Tomko.
