It’s ALMOST right…just switch the Nos. 1 and 2 teams!

    • baseballguru says:

edison and marina should be switched. sure edison beat marina on friday but, i was at that game and i think that everyone, including the players from edison, would agree with me that marina outplayed edison and are the better of the 2 teams

    • unknown says:

EDISON?? THATS A JOKE..THEY GOT LUCKY AGAINST MARINA!!!

    • dylannn says:

from what i heard it was a great game.. yes marina may have had a few more hits, but apparently couldnt come uup in the clutch and drive in runs when they needed too like edison was capable of, and aside from Paul Strong, Marina has no business being on the same field with this top 5 right here

… monarchs still on top, ya!
      ..GO MONARCHS

    • man says:

ok i was at the game too and edison was not on their game and marina was and edison still beat them. so edison is the better team

    • ned says:

i think its funny how capo is ranked lower then edison on the CIF polls but them higher than edison on STEVE FRYER’s top 10. Marina and edison did play a great game and yes marina had more hits but baseball is about clutching and getting the job done.

    • dave says:

unknown. sorry to say but man is right. marina outplayed edison. they out hit them, out pitched them, and played better defense. but who scored more runs? edison got it done. who knows, marina might win the next two times they play each other. but on friday, edison won the game. therefore, they should be ranked higher. marina is a great team, and they may even win the league. but for the time being, edison is the better team.

    • CapoDynasty says:

Hats off to the Tesoro Titans who dismantled my Cougars on friday. They showed why the South Coast league is hyped the way they are. This league will come down to the final two games that they play against each other in late April. The fact that Dana Hills is still in the Top Ten is beside me. See you in a month Tesoro….

    • Mater Dei Rules! says:

Hey Gary M, didn’t SM hit 3 solo HR’s? How is it then MD lost because of a bad defensive game? Hard to make an error on a 400 ft jack.

    • showtime says:

mater dei rules. i would have to agree with you. the ball thompson hit was simply undescribeable. if i was coach call i would not give that kid another fastball, let alone pitch.

    • Eagle says:

Hey showtime, which one are you talking about the Bomb in the 1st was a fastball, but the Bomb in the 3rd was off speed. Now what??

    • Kenny Powers says:

Hey Mater Dei Rules- It IS hard to make an error on a 400 foot jack. And ir is clear to me that Mater Dei’s pitching isn’t as good as everyone thinks. I can understand keeping MD in the top spot if they lost to a ranked team. But Santa Margarita is far from a top 10 team. Way to make the Eagles look better than they really are. At least Capo’s losses are to teams in the Top 3. See you in the CIF playoffs.

    • the gf says:

ok mater dei had an off game on friday….but they still deserve to be the no. 1 team….watch out Bosco…the monarchs are comin for ya

    • bbfan says:

kenny ……… capo won’t make it to cif with one pitcher and right now we have not seen that capo has more than one pitcher that can win games against the top teams.

    • pclbaseball says:

the gf… No. 1 teams don’t have off days to teams worse than them

    • Tesoroite says:

If capo is to do better they need to hit the ball. Tesoro scores a lot runs, I not sure if capo or anyone in the South Coast can keep up.

    • Jimbo says:

Where are the SM Eagle comments now? Getting bounced by OL 8 to 1 and shut out by Jserra 6-0 shows that your win over MD was a total fluke. See you in last place!

    • Century says:

El Dorado needs to be considered for the Top 10. They are 9-3 and blowing through the Century League. They have won 8 of thier last 9 and have beaten teams that are currently ranked ahead of them. They also have the most proficient offence in the Century league.

    • DanaDynasty says:

Capodynasty, Dana just proved why they are still in the top ten by scoring ten runs against the Titans. Dana would’ve blown them out if they brought in Kuehn to shut it down after Tago came out. Three way tie for first now.

    • CapoDynasty says:

DanaDynasty???? I didn’t know this was a surf blog. Dana Hills for as long as they have been around have been the red headed step child of the South Coast League. They have won nothing, and are considered a bunch of beach bums. With that being said, Pete Tago is a very talented ball player, and if he were smart and wanted a taste of winning championships he should transfer north to the only baseball dynasty in the OC…. CAPO VALLEY!!!
