
OCVarsity.com’s county girls soccer player of the year, Kelsey Wilson of San Clemente, was singled out for special recognition on the All-CIF soccer teams that were announced Monday.
Wilson was honored as the Division I offensive player of the year.
Los Alamitos' Katie Peterson was selected Division I defensive player of the year, and San Clemente's Stacey Finnerty was the Division I coach of the year.
Also receiving All-CIF girls soccer awards: Sunny Hills’ Audrey McKay (Division III offensive player of the year); Troy’s Lauren Mellano (Division III defensive player of the year) and Troy’s Ed Kephart (Division III coach of the year).
Here is a list of the county selections for All-CIF boys soccer honors:
• El Toro's Jacob Kaiser (Division I defensive player of the year)
• El Toro’s Ken Sjobom (Division I coach of the year)
• Valencia’s Adrean Gonzalez (Division II offensive player of the year)
• Santa Ana’s Jose Bahena (Division II defensive player of the year)
