Baseball preseason top 10 teams

El Toro is a returning champion with its key pitchers back and a No. 2 national ranking, according to Baseball America.
So it might not be that difficult to figure out the No. 1 team in the preseason top 10 for Orange County.
But take a look at the following links to find all of the teams in the top 10, then let us know what you think in the comments field below.

mater dei is gonna have a great year and everyone is just gonna be standing around and watching them go through every team in the trinty league.. the only real shot is jserra. but if brett dahlson doesnt get better they are going to up a stream without a paddle u can say.. with a close lose last game to corona santaigo…. 20-5

JSerra lost to FOOTHILL 20-5.
Mater dei is tough this year and El Toro has good pitching. J. sierra looked awfull against Foothill the other day and Dana Hills is way overated, they lost twice already and got shutout 8 to 0 against Villa Park. It always comes down to what league your in and who you play.some of these teams you have ranked so high must be in weak leagues this year.
I agree about Dahlson but Kurrasch is the wild card. Whenever he takes the hill they have a great chance to win. He is underrated and will give Jserra a chance in league.
Kurrasch underrated? How can a guy with a scholarship to Cal be underrated, How can a guy that made the final 36 in the 16U US national team be underrated? He is a very good pitcher!
JIm it definitely sounds like you have a beef with Santa Margarita, that is all you talk about, Did your son get cut from SM, what is your deal?
Cameron Cox of Loara had a dominating game vs. alleged #2 El Toro. How does Cypress High School let a player of his caliber get away? Wow?!
Every single team in the top ten seems to be overrated except for mater dei and capo …. Where is loara and cypress? the two teams in the finals tonight at 7 for the loara tournament? It should be interesting to see how things break down tonight! Everyone come out and watch!
And come monday this top ten should have a new breakdown with the winner on the loara – cypress game being in the top five and the other in the bottom half.
Cameron cox was lights out vs El Toro. Joey Torres came in the 6th inning to pitch with runners on 1st and 2nd, no outs. Got the 2 hitter to roll over into a DP. Then got Nolan to fly out to RF. Torres has thrown 14 innings in the tournament giving up only 2 ER runs. Torres was 2 for 5 against Servite with a 2 run double in bot of 7th to tie the score, then lead off the 9th with a single and scored the winning run. Loara has been putting up runs being lead by Torres, Cox and Marcus Meraz. Solid team starting eight seniors and one junior.
How about those aliso niguel wolverines, 3rd place in loara tournement. Only reason for loss to cypress was stupid errors, definatley a top 15 team

CapoDynasy, wasn’t aware that your team’s average age is 26. It appears that Zamora likes to play kids his own age! Aliso Niguel, nice showing in the Loara Tourney!
CapoDynasty, Only reason everyone looks down on aliso is their football team. Aliso Football is a Joke. 3rd place in loara isnt a fluke, aliso is very underated.
Easy does it Aliso, you won 4 games by one run, and now blame the one loss on errors or mistakes. Those one run games could have gone either way as well. Good job, but I would not start the chest pounding just yet!
only reason for that loss was the six errors in one inning, a couple bad innings cost them the tournement. Still think they are very over looked.
Chuck dont hate because Zamora cut you. Just do what DW from Aliso did. Go to a high school where everbody gets to play and you always get a trophy for last place. As for you DW, we will see you friday, and don’t forget your lunch box.
For Loara only Danny Recio was on the players to watch list, which is strange since Michael Schaub and Cameron Cox were both 2nd team Empire last year, Joey Torres[Tourney MVP] is a four year starter and Marcus Meraz was 2nd team Empire in 07. At that to Garcia at SS and Finlen in CF.They proved that they belong and can play with anyone. The players to watch list had guys with far less track records, but it seems to be where you play more than how you play. It’s a team game, and they are playing it.
